Professor Elizabeth Loftus speaks....

One of the latest DVD Videos we have produced with Uniview Worldwide features Professor Elizabeth Loftus using real life cases to explore the ethics of implanting false memories and the practices of some psychotherapists.

This fascinating material provides many examples of the malleability of the human mind and the potential for both harm and good that controlling memory can offer. Loftus references well-known studies such as "Lost in the Mall" and goes on to discuss the methodology of more recent studies exploring the implanting of false memories.

Following her professional involvement in a range of legal cases, Loftus expresses her concern about the dependence on eyewitness testimony in the justice system, as the rise of DNA evidence is now beginning to highlight just how unreliable this evidence can be.

Video coverage of The Danone Nations Cup at Everton FC

We are a little late with this blog post but we are just catching up after a very busy few months!

One of the jobs we filmed in May this year was a multiple-camera shoot at Everton Football Club of The Danone Nations Cup. We had just 1 days notice to cover the event but we are always happy to oblige our clients!

The Danone Nations Cup, whose global ambassador is the legendary French footballer Zinedine Zidane, is now in its ninth year and has become the world's biggest football tournament for girls and boys aged 10-12, bringing together 600 competitors from over 40 different countries. This year UK ambassador is Phil Jagielka. During May we had a Spanish student on a 5-week work placement with us and he was delighted to have the chance to interview a sporting hero!

View the video of the interview with Phil Jagielka and see the winners of the 2009 Danone Nations UK cup finals Arch Bishop Beck.

Archbishop Beck College are now not only national champions but they will be sending a squad to represent England at the Danone Nations Cup in Brazil in October 2009!

The ACPO Police Public Bravery Awards

We have recently completed a DVD video of the The ACPO Police Public Bravery Awards, which were held on 8th July 2009 at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Manchester.

The ceremony honoured members of the public for their extraordinary bravery and dedication to civic duty.

"These awards showcase some extraordinary stories which demonstrate selfless acts by ordinary members of the public. These acts assisted police in making arrests and in several cases prevented victims of crime from coming to further harm." Meredydd Hughes, Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police and honorary secretary of the awards.

Insight worked in association with Ace Audio Visual Ltd (Conference and Event Specialists) to produce the DVD Video of the event.
