Professor Elizabeth Loftus speaks....

One of the latest DVD Videos we have produced with Uniview Worldwide features Professor Elizabeth Loftus using real life cases to explore the ethics of implanting false memories and the practices of some psychotherapists.

This fascinating material provides many examples of the malleability of the human mind and the potential for both harm and good that controlling memory can offer. Loftus references well-known studies such as "Lost in the Mall" and goes on to discuss the methodology of more recent studies exploring the implanting of false memories.

Following her professional involvement in a range of legal cases, Loftus expresses her concern about the dependence on eyewitness testimony in the justice system, as the rise of DNA evidence is now beginning to highlight just how unreliable this evidence can be.

This short video extract will give you a taster of the DVD. The full 'Loftus Speaks' DVD is available on-line from Uniview Worldwide Ltd, the leading supplier of psychology resources in the UK.
